Auto launch Mango Display on Windows start

  1. Open the Start Menu:
    • Click on the Start button or press the Win key.
    • Type Startup in the search bar.
  2. Open the Startup Folder:
    You should see a “Startup Apps” or “Startup Folder” option. Click on it to open the Startup folder.
  3. Add Mango Display to Startup:
    • Find the Mango Display executable or shortcut on your computer.
    • Right-click on the Mango Display executable or shortcut and select “Create shortcut” if you don’t have a shortcut already.
    • Copy the shortcut.
    • Paste the shortcut into the Startup folder you opened in Step 2.
  4. Ensure Mango Display Opens in Full Screen (Optional):
    • Right-click on the Mango Display shortcut in the Startup folder and select “Properties.”
    • In the “Shortcut” tab, find the “Run” dropdown menu.
    • Select “Maximized” from the dropdown.
    • Click “OK” to save the changes.

These steps will add Mango Display to the startup programs and ensure it opens in full screen when Windows boots up.

Set Up Mango Display in Kiosk Mode

  1. Open Windows Settings:
    • Press Win + I on your keyboard to open the Settings app.
  2. Go to Accounts:
    • Navigate to Accounts > Family & other users.
  3. Set Up a Kiosk:
    • Scroll down to the Set up a kiosk section.
    • Click Get started.
  4. Create or Choose a Kiosk Account:
    • If you already have a local user account for the kiosk, select it.
    • Otherwise, create a new local user account by following the prompts.
  5. Select Mango Display:
    • From the list of apps, find and select Mango Display.
    • Click Next and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
  6. Finish the Setup:
    • Once completed, Mango Display will automatically launch in full-screen kiosk mode whenever you log into the kiosk account.

Testing Mango Display in Kiosk Mode

  1. Log out of your current user account.
  2. Log into the kiosk account.
  3. Mango Display will start automatically in full-screen mode.

Tips

  • Automatic Login: To enable automatic login to the kiosk account:
    1. Press Win + R, type netplwiz, and press Enter.
    2. Select the kiosk account, uncheck Users must enter a username and password to use this computer, and set up the password when prompted.
  • Exiting Kiosk Mode: To exit the kiosk account, press Ctrl + Alt + Del and choose Sign out.
